The Soul Rebels began with one mission: to expand the New Orleans brass tradition we grew up on and fuse it with the pop, funk, soul, hip hop, jazz, and rock that inspires us. That mission has carried us across four continents, into studios with global icons, and onto some of the world’s most legendary stages.
Fresh off the Blue Note Jazz Festival in Napa with Warren G, and a massive night at the Hollywood Bowl with Goapele and Rapsody, The Soul Rebels are keeping the momentum rolling. Now we’re bringing that fire to Blue Note New York for a special four-night residency: The Soul Rebels & Friends Holiday Throwdown, December 4–7.
We’ve collaborated with Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, G-Eazy, Katy Perry, DMX, Robin Thicke, Macy Gray, Robert Glasper, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pretty Lights, and more. We’ve scored original music for Disney’s Haunted Mansion and appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and NPR’s Tiny Desk with GZA. Through it all, we’ve built a reputation for explosive live energy, musical fearlessness, and a sound that can only come from New Orleans.
This December, we’re bringing that spirit to Blue Note New York for a holiday celebration like no other—featuring special guests, surprise collaborations, and the kind of high-energy, horn-driven party that has become our trademark.
